Amazing looking vintage, sterling silver cigarette case.

This case is in great condition, with only a few light surface scratches and
no visible dents. The engraving is of a high standard, depicting vines /
leaves. There is a cartouche which has the initials D.G.H.

The case closes flush, the hinge and button work as they should. Also, the
elastic straps are present.

The hallmarks are for Birmingham and the date stamp shows 1919. I can't find
much information the maker F.D other than he was making cigarette cases and
purses between 1919 - 1921. This person may have found a different job or maybe
they were snuffed out before their time, that doesn't mean this case is cursed.

This is a preloved item and as such will have some signs of wear and use, I
have cleaned this using and ultrasonic cleaner and then hit it up with some
tarnish guard.
